Inuyasha (犬夜叉)

My first impression on Inuyasha was that it had a great story line. Rumiko Takahashi really combined modern and feudal Japan very well together. Also, the character bacgrounds were detailed. What i hated about the anime, THE ANIME AND NOT THE MANGA is that the ending was way too open. I mean, it didn’t explain anything. To only anime watchers, it was disappointing . The manga was ended fairly well and i was satisfied.

SUMMARY

The story is set mainly in the Feudal Japan or Inuyasha’s world. It begins with Inuyasha stealing the Jewel of Four Souls, an item that is said to increase powers immensely if given to a being. Inuyasha, being a half demon, seeks the jewel to use its power to become a full demon, but fails as Kikyo, the village preistess, pins him to the sacred  Goshinboku tree (or whatever)

In modern Tokyo (50 years later) Kagome Higurashi gets pulled in a well in her shrine by a demon and finds herself seeing INuyasha pinned to the tree fast asleep. Inuyasha later, wakes up and goes after the jewel that apparently comes out of Kagome who is now known to be the reincarnation of Kikyo, the preistess who killed Inuyasha.

During a battle to retrieve the jewel which gets stolen, Kagome accidentally breaks it into shards. Inuyasha and Kagome have to team up to collect those shards to resurrect the jewel. On their way they meet loyal companions such as the young kitsune, Shippo, the perverted monk, Miroku and the demon slayer Sango. Defeating numerous enemies, the group gains the jewel including romantic relationships between Inuyasha and Kagome and Sango and Miroku.
